Arizona City

Arizona City, “The Purtiest Water Hole This Side of Texas”, was developed in January of 1959 by Jack McRae. The driving force of its development was the water, said to be one of the purest water sources in the state. The water source is from the Santa Cruz river which flows north from Mexico and from the runoff from the local Sawtooth Mountains.

Paradise Lake, a 48 acre man-made lake with a programmed fountain was created later in the city, offering both fishing and sailing.

Both farming and ranching continue to be important to the area. Farming producing cotton, grains, vegetables and citrus and cattle ranching is found throughout the surrounding areas.

No traffic and no smog make Arizona known for its down home western feeling.
