Keams Canyon Arizona
Keams Canyon is an unincorporated town located in Navajo County, northeastern Arizona. It was originally known as Peach Orchard Spring after a trading store was opened by Billy Dodd. The community name was derived from an Indian agent named Thomas Varker Keams in 1872. He was in charge of the Navajo that time.
Today, Keams Canyon is the site of the Bureau of Indian Affairs Headquarters.
