Paradise Valley Arizona

Paradise Valley is a town located in Maricopa County, Arizona. It combines the vast area of northeast Phoenix and the town of Paradise Valley. Beautiful flowers abound during spring in the area which was inspired to be named as Paradise Valley. The Rio Verde Canal Company in the 1880’s planned to turn the open grazing land into irrigated farmland. The farming scheme was discarded although a boom in the home building was later witnessed in the area.

Paradise Valley presently has a population of 14,410 as of 2004 U.S. Census. It sits at an elevation of 1,165 feet and is now generally an upscale residential community endowed with an excellent school system. The largest percentage of college graduates can be found in Paradise Valley and the town has the highest median income in the region. It has been incorporated in 191 and zoning has restricted commercial development to posh resort hotels and single-family homes to one-acre lots. Most attractions can be found in the nearby Phoenix area like the large natural desert landscape area that includes Squaw Peak, North Mountain and Camelback Mountain.
