Prescott Valley Arizona
Prescott Valley is located in Yavapai County, Arizona. It was founded in 1966, situated between the Bradshaw and Mingus mountains. Incorporated in 1978, it is also one of Arizona’s fastest growing communities. In the year 1990 alone recorded the town’s population ballooning from more than 8,000 to more than 20,000. According to town’s officials, nearby development outside the town limits will likely increase the population to 66,000 in the near future. Residents expect the town to become a major city in the near future as well.
The town of Prescott Valley was incorporated in 1978 and has a current population of 30,590 as of 2004 U.S. Census. Industry, manufacturing, retail and service businesses comprise the area economy and these businesses are growing. However, town leaders pronounced that even if the town becomes a major city someday, it will never lose it small town atmosphere and friendly approach to people and business.
