Rimrock Arizona
Rimrock is in Yavapai County, northern Arizona. It is part of the Verde Valley and is surrounded by Prescott National Forest. It is located off of Interstate 17, around north of Camp Verde, 50 miles north of Flagstaff and 100 miles south of Phoenix.
Rimrock Post Office was established in 1929 and the name refers to a dude ranch that was located in the area where the community now stands. It is still an unincorporated community.
Today, Rimrock has an estimated population of 3,344 which is the combined total of nearby towns Lake Montezuma and McGuireville. Traditionally, the community of Rimrock is a haven for retirees. But due to the affordable prices of housing and land, more and more people are moving into the area. It offers a many outdoor activities because of its mild climate.
